First NCV Graduation at GS College

GERT SIBANDE FET COLLEGE recently celebrated the first graduation under the National Certificate Vocational (NCV) in all the four campuses: Ermelo, Evander, Sibanesetfu and Standerton. Decentralising the graduation ceremonies to different sites was highly successful. The pride and joy on the face of students, parents, staff and community members made the effort worthwhile.

NCV was introduced in 2007 and it is a three-year programme comprising of 3 study levels: 2, 3 and 4 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). Replacing the Nated (N) courses, NCV gives students industry related training through both simulated and actual practical sessions in a real working environment.
